PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game medium dispensing unit 11 capable of easily coping with the specification change with the kind of a game machine and preventing erroneous specification change. SOLUTION: Whether or not a CR machine 10 is connected with an interface section 38 is sensed by a connection sensing means 39. The kind of the game machine is determined from the detection by the connection sensing means 39 by a control section 37 and a specification is automatically changed to the specification in which tokens are dispensed from the CR machine 10 or the specification in which tokens are dispensed from the token throwing out section 26 of the game medium dispensing unit 11. A connection signal is input from the CR machine 10 to an interface section 38 by converting AC24V supplied from the CR machine 10 to the interface section 38 to DC18V and supplying the same to the CR machine 10 when connecting the CR machine 10 to the interface section 38.
