In order to perform narrowed retrieval of a plenty of retrieval results, it is possible to output as information, document terms in document information, co-occurring document terms, a class to which the co-occurring document terms belong, and score indicating the mutual information amount with the co-occurring document terms. A document retrieval unit (110) accesses a document database (200) with an inputted query to acquire document information. A retrieval result generation unit (120) extracts a document term from the document information and acquires the document term co-occurring with the extracted document term, a score of a mutual information amount with the document term co-occurring with the extracted document term, and a class of the co-occurring document term. A retrieval result display unit (105) displays the acquired co-occurring document term together with its class and score.
