As a gel type sacrificial anode sealant of a Zn- or Al-based alloy, the sealant is prepared by mixing a high purity(99.99% or more) Zn anode powder of -1.05 volt(SCE) or less, or a fine powder of a Zn- or Al-based alloy anode with a liquid phase organic or inorganic binder at a mixing ratio of 1:1 to 1:1.5, wherein the Zn-based ally comprises 99.3% of Zn, 0.6% of Al and 0.1% of other components, the Al-based alloy comprises 95% of Al, 4.5% of Zn and 0.5% of other components, the other components are one or more elements selected from the group consisting of In, Si, Mg and Ca, and the sealant is a gel type sealant that can be conveniently used in corrosion protection of connecting parts of bolts and nuts in a steel structure and maintains a surface electric potential of -1,000 mV SCE or less during hardening.
