PURPOSE:To obtain extremely fine fiber of organic polymer by delivering through a nozzle a solution of the organic polymer along with ejecting a gas from the circumference of said nozzle to make said solution into a fibrous flow and by bringing said flow into contact with a coagulating solution. CONSTITUTION:When extremely fine fiber with a diameter of 1-50mum is to form from an organic polymer such as alginate collagen, polyvinyl alcohol, pullulan, chitosan, gelatin or 'konjak' mannan, a solution of said organic polymer is first prepared, and extruded through the inner holes of a concentric double tubular nozzle along with ejecting a coagulating solution through the outer holes of said nozzle and also ejecting a gas through said nozzle to makes said solution into a fibrous flow, which is then collected on a moving collector. |
