PURPOSE:To obtain a natural synthesized voice as an output by making up for an unnatural silence which is generated due to a fact that it takes long for the conversion time of a sentence and this time is different from an operation time of a device for outputting it as a voice by an unnecessary word. CONSTITUTION:A synthesized voice generating part 11 inputs sentence information, outputs a voice waveform based thereon, and by the voice waveform which is generated by the synthesized voice generating part 11, a voice is outputted from a voice output part 12. A synthesizing time calculating part 13 calculates time required for generating the voice waveform in the synthesized voice generating part 11, decides whether this calculated value exceeds a prescribed threshold value or not, based on this calculated time, and extracts an unnecessary word stored in an unnecessary word storage part 14 when said value exceeds the threshold value. Subsequently, in an unnecessary word output part 15, a voice waveform of the unnecessary word is generated, and outputted together with the voice waveform which is generated in the synthesized voice generating part 11. In such a way, a suitable unnecessary word is inserted into a voice and an unnatural interruption of a voice is eliminated. |
