PURPOSE:To improve operability and working environment by charging connecting hardware into a molten steel by means of carriages of base plate and detecting the contact of the hardware with a solidified shell then unclamping the hardware. CONSTITUTION:The 1st and 2nd carriers 3, 4 are disposed above and below to the base plate 1 and lifting cylinders 5, 6 are disposed. The base plate 1 hoisting the hardware B in a high position moves up to the upper home position of a mold A. The 1st lifting cylinder 5 is actuated to bring the hardware B in proximity to the surface of the molten steel and thereafter the cylinder 5 is extended to introduce the hardware into the molten steel D. The hardware B is released when the contact of the hardware B and the solidified shell E is detected by the pressure switch of the cylinder 6. The charging operation is then completed. Since the charging is automated by the above-mentioned method, the operability is improved and the working environment at a high temp. is improved. |
