PURPOSE:To lessen the changes of the sensitivity, the max. optical density and the min. optical density of a magenta coloring layer contd. in the title material by developing the silver halide color photographic sensitive material contg. a pyrazoloazole type magenta coupler with a specified color developer. CONSTITUTION:The sensitive material comprising at least one layer of an emulsion layer of a high silver chloride content which is composed of >=80mol% silver chloride and contained at least one kind of the pyrazoloazole type magen ta coupler shown by formula I is developed with the color developer which has 20-120ml of the replenishing amount of the color developer per 1m<2> of the sensitive material. In formula I, R1 is hydrogen atom or a substituting group, X is hydrogen atom or a group capable of being released by a coupling reaction with the oxidant of an aromatic primary amine developing agent, Za-Zc are each methine or a substd. methine, =Z- or -NH- group. Thus, the changes of the sensitivity, the max. optical density and the min. optical density of the magenta coloring layer are lessened, without injuring the rapidity of processings. |
