PURPOSE:To depress occurrence of image defects, such as white spots or white mottles due to repeated uses by forming an undercoat made of an N- alkoxymethylated nylon resin containing Na, Ca, and P elements as impurities each in a specified concentration or less. CONSTITUTION:The electrophotographic sensitive body is formed by laminating on a conductive substrate 1 the undercoat 2, an electric charge generating layer 3, and a charge transfer layer 4, and the undercoat 2 is made of an N- alkoxymethylated nylon resin containing Na, Ca, and P elements as impurities each in a concentration of <=10ppm, thus permitting injection of carriers from the conductive substrate 1 to be prevented during repeated copying operations, occurrence of image defects, such as white spots and white mottles to be repeated, and excellent repetition stability to be ensured. |
