The front wheels of the heavy goods vehicle have a fixed wing or fender on front of and above them. There is a mudguard (3) behind each front wheel. The mudguard has a flat rear surface (30) to which an intermediate bracket (12,14) is fastened. The intermediate bracket has flanges (15) with screws or rivets and has angled portions (16) attached to the side (21) of the battery box (2).
