PURPOSE:To send out odorless hot air through the outlet by providing adsorbent at the air intake of a convection blower and by combining, in the sequence of operation in the ignition mode, the reverse rotation of the convection blower with the rotation in the normal direction and by stopping the fuel feed, in the extinguishment mode, after reversing the convection blower. CONSTITUTION:A combustion blower 8 sends air into a vaporizing cylinder 10 in the manner of pre-purge at the start; an igniter 4 is energized and then kerosene is fed into the vaporizing cylinder 10, vaporized, and mixed with the combustion air, and the fuel mixture is ignited as it comers over the flame-hole surface of a burner 2. By reverse rotation of a convection blower 1the exhaust gas resulting from the combustion is made to rise inside a combustion cylinder 5 and undergo heat exchange with a heat-shielding plate 6, and after adsorption of the odor by adsorbent 11 at the back of the heating apparatus, the exhaust gas is released. When the convection blower 1 is rotated in the normal direction, the disagreeable odor components of the hot air sent out through the outlet 9 is considerably reduced. For the extinguishment, the convection blower 1 is reversed so that the exhaust gas is released after adsorption of the disagreeable odor components thereof by adsorbent 11 at the back of the heating apparatus. |
