PURPOSE:To regulate a saw cutter guide automatically by providing a cutter position detector for detecting the position of the cutter with respect to a material to be cut, an operational processor for operating the position of the cutter guide based on the detected cutter position and a motion unit for positioning the cutter guide along a guide bar to a set position. CONSTITUTION:Saw cutter angle theta is detected in the form of pulse number through a rotary encoder 37 and the pulse number is counted through a counter 39. The count is moved to a register 41 based on a pulse signal provided from a CPU 43 every predetermined time. The CPU 43 receives the count and operates the positions of cutter guides 23, 25 according to a formula. Outputs from the cutter guides 23, 25 are subjected to D/A conversion and fed to differential amplifiers 53, 55 together with signals from potentiometers 49, 51 representing current positions. The differential amplifiers 53, 55 amplify the differential voltage and provide control signals to servo valves 57, 59. The servo valves 57, 59 control hydraulic cylinders 27, 29 and position the cutter guides 23, 25. |
