<p>The invention relates to a process for making some ornaments for the Christmas tree and to a rack for fixing the same, used in this process. The obtained glass semiproduct (1) is intially fixed inside a rack and then placed inside a metal coating device, where, on the surface of the semiproduct (1), there is deposited a thin layer of 1...7 microns of metals and/or metal alloys, by metallizing or spray coating, in vacuum conditions, and the surfaces coated with metal by this method, are finished in various colours by using some transparent or coloured, bright or dull varnishes. The rack for fixing the glass semiproducts, used in this process, consists of a plastic or metal channel (2) wherein there is located at least a flexible protection support (3) which is provided with at least a cavity (4). The flexible protection support (3) is fastened inside the metal channel (2) by clamping on the lateral sides thereof. The channel (2) is provided with two lateral pivots (6) for mounting the in-vaccum metal coating device inside the supporting bearings located in opposite sides on the perimeter of the rotary working drum (7).</p> |
