<p>PURPOSE:To prevent the abrasion of a head by discriminating whether the loaded tape cassette is a cleaning tape or not from the state of a detecting hole provided on the tape cassette and ejecting the tape cassette after a lapse of a given period of time if this loaded tape cassette is the cleaning tape. CONSTITUTION:A positioning hole 3, a detecting hole 4, a miserasing prevention detecting hole 5, a tape kind detecting hole 6, a positioning hole 7, a cleaning tape detecting hole 8 and tape thickness detecting holes 9 and 10 are formed on the bottom surface of the tape cassette 1. From the state of the cleansing tape detecting hole 8 formed on the bottom surface of the tape cassette 1, whether the loaded tape cassette is the cleaning tape or not can be decided. Then, if the loaded tape cassette is the cleansing tape, this tape cassette is ejected after the lapse of a given period of time. Consequently, it should never happen that the cleaning tape is inadvertently used for a long time. By this method, the head is prevented from being abraded.</p> |
