PURPOSE:To form a copied picture in which a desired area of an original is finished into a sharp white color in a short processing time by setting a threshold level respectively to a density data corresponding to each primary color of an input picture data and comparing each threshold level and each density data respectively. CONSTITUTION:A threshold level setting means 105 sets threshold levels 16-18 with respect to R, G, B density data or Y, M, C, BK density data subjected to color correction in an input picture data respectively. The density data 13-15 are compared respectively with respect to the set threshold levels 16-18 by comparison means 101-1-3, and when it is discriminated that each density data exceeds the corresponding threshold level, the output means outputs a picture data as a white level data. Thus, in the case of copying an old original, the picture forming is processed in a short time in such a way that a beautiful copy picture with high quality is formed while yellowish or dirt part is removed and the desired area is finished into a sharp white color level or the background of the original is converted into a sharp color level. |
