<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a repeater that is installed on a post or the like, that maintains a trunk line optical fiber and a plurality of branch line optical fibers to have more than a specific radius of curvature without bending, and that is easily set inside the envelope of the repeater. <P>SOLUTION: An optical fiber storing part is provided in the housing for the envelope of a repeater, a signal-relaying junction circuit is stored inside a cover that hermetically seals the housing, and the optical fibers that are drawn into the repeater are stored and wound in the storing part. Each optical fiber is put through guide members that are installed between the housing and the cover and that are made of a tubular flexible member for the purpose of inserting optical fibers inside.
