摘要 PURPOSE:To improve printing efficiency and to eliminate the disturbance in characters in divided positions by providing an empty bit line detecting means, virtual interline detecting means, printing data allotting means and line feed rate adjusting means. CONSTITUTION:This learning machine is constituted by providing the empty bit line detecting means 11, the virtual interline detecting means 12, the printing data allotting means 13, and the like feed rate adjusting means 14. A carriage moving direction and bit line are scanned and the absence of the bits which become black in the printing is detected by the means 11. If the resulted number of the continuous empty bits exceeds a prescribed value, such excess is detected by the means 12. The printing data is allotted by the means 13 in such a manner that the next bit line of the continuous empty bits is printed by the top end dot of a printing head when the virtual interline is detected by the means 12. The line feed by as much as the number of the empty bit lines is executed by the means 14 when this allotting is executed. The printing efficiency is improved in this way and further, the disturbance in the characters in the divided positions generated by the printing executed dividedly twice in the printing of the lines of only the character arrays is obviated.
