A sound signal analysis apparatus and a method thereof are provided to perform frequency conversion of an inputted sound signal by using a lookup table so as to have high resolution at a designated frequency band and has general resolution at a frequency band except the designated frequency band, thereby being effectively utilized in a system requiring high frequency resolution at a specific frequency band. A sound signal analysis apparatus(100) comprises the followings: a lookup table storage(105) for storing a lookup table; a sound input unit(110) for receiving a sound signal from the outside; a sound analyzer(115) which generates a frequency analysis signal by performing frequency analysis of the inputted sound signal according to header information extracted from the lookup table; a comparing/determining unit(120) for determining whether an external state of the sound signal analysis apparatus(100) is in a standard state by comparing the frequency analysis signal with core information extracted from the lookup table; and a signal output unit(125) for generating/outputting a predetermined output signal according to the standard state. |
