<p>The unit has a display cell (4), and rigid transparent or semi-transparent precious stones (30) such as diamonds or single crystal cubic zirconium oxide stones, maintained on a transparent/semi-transparent support (3). The support is placed on a front transparent substrate (41) for vision or alternatively on a rear transparent substrate (42) of the cell, to combine information of the cell in its initial display state with a refraction of light via the stones and/or reflection of light on or in the stones. A backlighting device is placed under the cell and the support to illuminate the stones. An independent claim is also included for a wristwatch type watch comprising a display unit in a case closed by a glass.</p> |
