FIELD: chemical technology. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for synthesis of peroxyformic acid and its salts. Method involves electrolysis of 0.5-2.0 M formic acid solution or its alkaline metal salts in diaphragm electrolyzer on dioxide-lead anode at current density values 0.05-0.5 A/cm2 in the presence of ammonium thiocyanate taken in the concentration 1.0-1.5 g/l.
