SURGICAL METHOD FOR TREATING ABLATIO RETINAE CASES

FIELD: medicine. ^ SUBSTANCE: method involves carrying out subtotal vitrectomy and posterior hyaloid membrane of the vitreous body is detached to retina rupture level. Flap is cut out from the posterior hyaloid membrane using vitreotome tip. The flap is turned towards central edge of retina rupture zone. Flap diameter is greater than retina rupture length by 1/3. The posterior hyaloid membrane is detached and removed on the remaining retina region. Subretinal fluid is intravitreally drained and plastic repair of retina rupture is carried out with the posterior hyaloid membrane flap until retina rupture is completely sealed. The vitreous body is filled with perfluororganic compound, and retina laser coagulation is carried out. The perfluororganic compound is substituted with silicon oil in 7-10 days. ^ EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness and safety in localizing retina rupture; retained anatomical adjacency in remote postoperative period.
