FIELD: veterinary science. ^ SUBSTANCE: method involves preparing a biological substrate wherein mixture of stuffing prepared from abomasum, duodenum and pancreas tissue are used. To the prepared biological substrate 2.5% hydrochloric acid solution is added in the ratio 1:12 and kept for 24 h at temperature 20-24°C at periodic stirring followed by filtration. Filtered off liquid is diluted with 0.9% sodium chloride solution in the ratio 1:10. Invention provides enhancing effectiveness of prophylaxis and treatment of gastrointestinal diseases in young animals. Invention can be used in prophylaxis and treatment of gastrointestinal diseases in calves and piglets. ^ EFFECT: improved preparing method, enhanced effectiveness of preparation. ^ 1 tbl
