摘要 FIELD: detection of contraband. ^ SUBSTANCE: collimated pulse beam of sub-nanosecond duration of ions of GeV energy range is used as beam causing characteristic radiation of particles; convergence of the beam doesn't exceed 10-3 radian. Frequency of repletion of ion mono-pulses is adjusted. Application of accelerated ions, formed into sub-nanosecond duration pulses, in combination with time-of-flight methods of registration of high-energy gamma-quanta (Egamma~70MeV and Egamma=131 MeV) and mu+ heavy electrons, which have to be signature features of material, as well as scanning of surface of tested object by those mono-pulses allows finding exact location of contraband matter inside object and to form point-by-point high-contrast three-dimensional image of contraband materials as well as to reveal their location among materials, which tested object contains. Registration of characteristic instant and delaying gamma-quanta of fission fragments of those nuclei can be used as additional channel for revealing special nuclear materials. ^ EFFECT: high resolution of point-by-point analysis of content of tested object. ^ 4 cl, 3 dwg
