Method for preparation of methane-containing gas of coal beds to use in heat engines that is supplied by gas conduits from mine workings to use in heat combustion engines through its enrichment with gas with high content of methane and dedusting. Besides that humid methane-containing gas of degassing of coal beds developed from wells drilled from underground workings selected for use as fuel gas in gas-piston engines is enriched with gas from technogenous wells or with natural gas from mains up to 25% of content of methane, its vapor content isdecreased through cooling and condensation of vapor, it is purified with removal of solid particles and drop moisture simultaneously and heated to decrease respective humidity to value not larger than 80% at temperature not higher than 40 DEGREE C, after that fuel gas is supplied to cylinders of engines.
