Improved interface between the pedal plate and footboard of a motor vehicle using braces for the interconnection with a reduced space requirement

An interface between a pedal plate (9) and a footboard (2) are maintained fixed at a certain distance from each other by at least one brace (5). The brace (15a, 15b, 15c, 15d) is integral with the footboard. An independent claim is also included for the production of the brace for the interface.
