#CMT# #/CMT# The assembly has a carriage (18) including a support roller (36) that has an outer rolling surface (38) equipped of a toroidal groove (40). An elongated rail (16) has lower and upper bearing rings (28, 30) defined by respective ribs (48, 46) extending along the length of the rail and received in the groove. The rib (48) is spaced from the rib (46) along a main support direction. The support roller is selectively supported on one of the ribs. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Used for supporting and guiding a lateral sliding door on a structure of a motor vehicle (claimed) between an open position and a closed position. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The arrangement of the ribs ensures precise lateral guiding of the roller with respect to the rail without requiring additional rollers for the lateral guiding of the door, thus obtaining a light and inexpensive assembly.
