The proposed fiber-optic multimode coupler with two branches contains sections of optical fiber. The refractive index of the light-reflecting cladding of the optical fiber is much less than the refractive index of the optical fiber core. The input section of the optical fiber is arranged in line with the optical axis of one of the output sections. The second output section has tapered end surface.
