The proposed method of redundant measurements for determining content of dust in gaseous atmosphere by optoelectronic devices consists in transmittingan optical radiation flux with a specified intensity through the layers of the dust-containing gaseous atmosphere, converting the intensity of the initial radiation into voltage U1 at the output of the photodetector, converting the radiation that passed through the layer of the dust-containing gaseous atmosphere with known thickness of I0 into voltage U2 at the output of the photodetector, varying the thickness of I0 several times, converting theradiation that passed through the layer of the dust-containing gaseous atmosphere with thickness of I1 = k1I0 into voltage U3, converting the radiation that passed through the layers of the dust-containing gaseous atmosphere with thickness of I0 and I1 into voltage U4, varying the thickness of I1 several times, and converting the radiation that passed through the layer of the dust-containing gaseous atmosphere with thickness of I2 = k2I1 into voltage U5. The said voltages are stored and used for determining the content of dust in the gaseous atmosphere according to a specified equation system. The proposed method is distinctive by its enhanced accuracy.
