A separator relates to the devices for removal of oil products from water and can be used on the vessels and all industrial enterprises, which have oil-containing drains. For increasing the efficiency of operation, and for provision of regeneration without dismantling and replacement of filtering element between upper and lower covers of separator several cylindrical cowlings with flanges are located, between which the limiting grids are installed, which divide the volume of housing into sections, which are filled up with layers of granules, upper and lower layers consist of large granules, and intermediate layers - from small granules. The density of the granules of upper layer is smaller than the density of water, and the density of other granules is greater than the density of water, between the layer of large granules, which fill lower cover, and the layer of small granules, which lies above, there is no clearance, furthermore, in the lower cover a perforated collector is located which is made in the form of a ring with cross connection, with the size of perforation smaller than the diameter of large granules, connected with the branch pipe for removal of purified water and branch pipe supply of compressed air.
