The engine has a cylinder block (6) forming a combustion chamber (5) in which an air intake duct (9) emerges. A spark plug (13) emerges from a pre-combustion chamber (11) that is laterally delimited by a wall (19). The duct has an upper channel (17) directly emerging into the pre-combustion chamber for supplying fresh air. The wall has a bend for generating a whirling movement of fresh gas mixture introduced in the chamber (11). A multiple-jet nozzle (14) has jets (141-145) supplying fuel to the respective chambers.
