摘要 <p>#CMT# #/CMT# The method involves immersing pitted fruit in a liquid e.g. syrup, having index larger than that of air, and taking image of the fruit in the liquid for processing the image. The liquid is contained in an enclosure which is pressurized through an air compressor that is connected to a valve integrated in the enclosure. The fruit and the liquid are compressed for approximately 30 seconds, and the pressure applied is in the range of 2 to 4 bars. #CMT# : #/CMT# An independent claim is also included for a system for detecting stone or section of stone in a pitted fruit. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Used in the field of agri-food industry for detecting stone or section of stone in a pitted fruit (claimed) e.g. candied red cherry. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The imaging of the fruit in the liquid having index larger than that of air permits to reduce the index step between the fruit and the outer medium, thus reducing the opaque zones not corresponding to partial or entire stone, and hence permitting to detect stone or section of stone in a reliable manner. The pressurizing of the enclosure permits to automatically extract the created bubbles without damaging the fruit so that the liquid completely moistens the fruit. The method enables to find the debris of the stone by utilizing lighting whose spectral characteristics correspond to absorption of the fruit.</p>
