<p>#CMT# #/CMT# The device has a coolant circuit, and a filtering unit (13) for filtering particles contained in a coolant by a centrifugal force created by the movement of fluid inside a bleed line (17). The bleed line emerges at the level of a lateral cylindrical wall of an external tube and evacuates filtered particles during blow down of the coolant circuit. The bleed line includes a unit for storing the particles when a closing valve (18) is in a closed position. #CMT# : #/CMT# An independent claim is also included for a method for filtering particles from a coolant circuit for a cooling tower. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Used for a closed circuit cooling tower (claimed) that is utilized for spraying coolant from air conditioning plants or industrial plants in an airflow to evacuate heat generated by the plants towards external surroundings. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The filtering unit filters the particles contained in the coolant by the centrifugal force created by the movement of fluid inside the bleed line, thus ensuring simple and efficient filtering of the particles of even 60 micron size and automatic evacuation of the particles. The device avoids a need for carrying out maintaining operations at the level of the filtering unit for eliminating the particles, thus avoiding a need for stopping functioning of the tower.
