<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To add information easy for a user to understand when printing is carried out on the basis of a file which includes a plurality of pages (for example, image file of the TIFF form). <P>SOLUTION: When the image file read out from a USB memory or the like includes images of the plurality of pages, the printer adds page numbers to the images after the second page.
