<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an error detecting device and a reception error judging method that can prevent wrong reception and effectively judge received data. <P>SOLUTION: A frame continuation signal 108 is generated in timing 104 based upon the length of the received data, and RSSI data 114 measured by an RSSI measurement section 110 is input to a carrier presence/absence judgement section 116, which compares the RSSI data with an RSSI threshold and generates a carrier presence/absence signal corresponding to the comparison result.
