PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a driver to enter a destination or retreat therefrom safely without anxiety and without exerting an influence on another vehicle, by guiding a route where a traffic flow is not impeded by deceleration or light/left turn, when entering the destination positioned along a road wherein an average car speed is high and a traffic is heavy, or when retreating from the destination and joining into the road. SOLUTION: This system has a storage part for storing map data; a route searching part for searching for a route from a starting place to the destination based on the map data; a detailed route formation part for forming a detailed route for connecting a gateway of the starting place or the destination connected to a road other than the high-car-speed heavy-traffic road to the route searched for by the route searching part, when the starting place or the destination includes the gateway connected to the high-car-speed heavy-traffic road; and a route guide part for guiding the detailed route formed by the detailed route formation part.
