PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To judge a photographing scene by analyzing image data. SOLUTION: A CPU 30 generates reduced image data for data analysis from inputted image data and analyzes the generated reduced data for analysis in each pixel to acquire RGB components of each of pixels constituting the reduced image data for analysis. The CPU 30 determines a characteristic hue being a hue for characterizing the image, by using the analytic result of the reduced image data for analysis, determines a pixel area corresponding to the determined characteristic hue, executes the frequency analysis of the reduced image data for analysis by two-dimensional Fourier transformation or the like, and extracts a texture of the pixel area corresponding to the characteristic hue. The CPU 30 determines a photographing scene of a photographing image (image data) on the basis of the obtained characteristic hue and the texture of the pixel area forming the characteristic hue.
