PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To to choose transmitting read picture data to an external device or transmitting processing about picture data for addressable intelligence to the external device. SOLUTION: An image transmitting apparatus transmits the address information of the intelligence for making a manipulating operator for operating the external device specify a processing method of the picture data to the above-mentioned external device. There are a transmitting method for transmitting the result processed according to the processing method specified in the external device to the above-mentioned external device, and a transmitting method for transmitting the image data to the external device without transmitting the above-mentioned address information.
