PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide polysilsesquisiloxane particles excellent in processability, stability of quality and improving tensile property without impairing flexibility and adhesion with a substrate, and to provide a silicone-based curable composition. SOLUTION: The invention relates to the surface-treated particles of polysilsesquisiloxane having 0.01-5.0μm of volumetric average particle diameter and surface-treated with an alkylsilyl chloride represented by R<SP>1</SP><SB>n</SB>SiCl<SB>(4-n)</SB>(R<SP>1</SP>is one or more substituents selected from an alkyl group, an aryl group, a hydrocarbon group having a carbon-carbon unsaturated bond, a hydrocarbon group having an epoxy group, a hydrocarbon group having an amino group and a hydrocarbon group having a mercapto group, n is an integer of 1-3). The silicone-based curable composition comprises above mentioned particles, a polyorganosiloxane having at least one alkenyl group in the molecule, a compound having at least two hydrosilyl group in the molecule and a hydrosilylation catalyst.
