PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid injection device capable of preventing the deposition of liquid particularly on the lower part of a feed roller, and to provide a recording device equipped therewith. SOLUTION: The liquid injection device comprises a lower part cover 22 for covering at least the lower part of the feed roller 82, the lower part cover 22 being provided on a holding member 23 which holds contacting/leaving means 23a, 86a for making a driven roller 86 contact/leave a carrying roller 85. Thus, the deposition of the liquid on the lower part of the feed roller is mostly avoided to prevent the contamination of injected medium. There is no need to newly provide a member for mounting the lower part cover, resulting in less cost increase of components with an increase in the number of the components.
