PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an expansion valve for a vehicle rear seat air-conditioner, allowing oil contained in refrigerant between a compressor and the rear seat air-conditioner to be supplied to the compressor, even when operating only a front seat air-conditioner and interrupting the operation of the rear seat air-conditioner. SOLUTION: The expansion valve for the vehicle rear seat air-conditioner comprises a low pressure refrigerant flow path installed to connect the exit of a rear seat evaporator to the compressor, a high pressure refrigerant flow path having a flow-in portion for the refrigerant to flow in, a flow-out portion connected to the entrance of the rear seat evaporator, and an orifice connecting the flow-in portion to the flow-out portion, a temperature sensitive cylinder connected to a pressure transmission rod installed to be moved up and down, and a ball valve installed in a communication passage communicated with the orifice and the flow-in portion for adjusting the opening of the orifice in linkage with the pressure transmission rod. The orifice has an inclined enlarged tube portion on the side of the communication passage where a ball of the ball valve is fixed, and a breeding flow path formed to communicate the communication passage with the flow-out portion even when the ball of the ball valve is fixed to the inclined enlarged tube portion.
