ANESTHETIC DEVICE AND ANESTHESIA METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate application of an anesthetic of suitable concentration and amount onto a required position at one time operation as a preliminary step of inserting an insertion portion of a transnasal endoscope. SOLUTION: A drug solution flow passage 11 is formed in a flexible tube 10. An anesthetic storage part 12 is connected to the proximal end part of the flow passage 11. An opening part 13 for injecting low concentration anesthetic drug solution is formed on the distal end part 10a of the flexible tube 10. The circumferential surface of the flexible tube 10 forms an anesthetic-coated surface part 15 coated with high concentration anesthetic. The flexible tube 10 is inserted into the course in the nasal cavity until the distal end 10a reaches the position of the posterior nasal aperture. The anesthetic on the anesthetic-coated part 15 can anesthetize the nasal cavity wall being a narrow course and the low concentration anesthetic drug solution is injected from the posterior nasal aperture into the region of the beginning of the esophagus.
