The invention relates to an electronic component (1) comprising a computing module (2) and a monitoring module (3). The latter comprises at least one mode input (5), via which the monitoring module (3) is connected to the computing module (2) by signals for the specification of a monitoring mode, selected from several predefined monitoring modes of the monitoring module (3), in the computing module. In addition, the monitoring module (3) comprises at least one monitoring input (6a), via which the monitoring module (3) is connected to the computing module (2) by signals for the monitoring of said computing module. The mode input (5) is configured in such a way that a switching between the monitoring modes of the monitoring module (3) takes place exclusively using a dynamic signal. This prevents and identifies undesirable switching caused by a static external signal. |
