<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve safety by issuing alarms at accurate timing depending on various statuses. <P>SOLUTION: An alarm control ECU 30 determines an inattentive direction in which a driver is considered to be inattentive from results such as operation information about a car navigation system 24, operation information about an audio system 26, call information about a cellular telephone call detection system 28 and a detection result of the driver's face orientation by a driver monitoring camera 34; and also determines an inattentive direction in which the driver is considered to be inattentive from a detection result by a vehicle state detection sensor 22, a guidance direction provided by the car navigation system 24, a forward road shape provided by the car navigation system 24 or a CCD cameras 20 and the like. The alarm control ECU 30 then computes a risk from a predicted possibility of crash and other emergencies inputted from a precrash control ECU 14, and issues alarms at the alarm timing of an alarm system 32 determined according to the determined inattentive direction and the computed risk. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
