OPERATION METHOD OF FUEL CELL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operation method of a fuel cell capable of raising and lowering temperature when starting/stopping it without arranging any purging gas supply system separately.

SOLUTION: The operation method of the fuel cell reforms raw fuel at a reformer 21 and generates power by supplying reformed gas to power generating cells. At starting of the operation, the temperature of the fuel cell is raised while an atmosphere of a fuel electrode is maintained in a reduced state by generating reductive gas containing hydrogen by means of partial oxidation reformation reaction or auto-thermal reformation reaction at the reformer 21.
