<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive unit which suppresses the entry of a foreign matter into a space between a rotor and a stator and is improved in the maintainability of a motor, and an image forming device. <P>SOLUTION: A cover 95 is used to cover at least the rotor portion 85 of the outer rotor type motor 80, suppressing the foreign matter from entering into the space between the inner peripheral surface of the rotor portion 85 and the stator 91. Furthermore, the cover 95 is separately constituted from the outer rotor type motor 80, enabling the cover 95 to be removed from the outer rotor type motor 80. This enables maintenance of components such as the rotor portion 85 or the like inside the cover, enhancing the maintainability as compared with the cover 95 integrated with a motor. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
