摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a considerably high power density and high energy by an inexpensive method, and precisely form a recess on a printing plate having a cylindrical surface by controlling the beam output even when the laser output is considerably high by providing a method and a device for forming recesses in the printing plate for an engraved plate, a relief plate, or a flexographic plate by using laser beams directed to the cylindrical surface of the printing plate. <P>SOLUTION: Laser beams of a laser beam source are guided to laser fibers, the laser beams output from the laser fibers are guided to a surface of a printing plate by the output of the laser beams of 100W on the surface of the printing plate by an optical system, the laser beams are condensed by the printing plate, and the output of the laser beams is modulated by the surface of the printing plate. The printing plate having the cylindrical surface is rotated to guide the laser beams along the surface.
