<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a telephone call by calling an opposite side even with, for example, PPP by Internet telephone for making a telephone call by using the Internet as a computer network. <P>SOLUTION: The computer network is formed, respective terminals on the computer network are connected to each other through a server, and data including at least voice data are transferred through the computer network. The server is provided with a database stored in call information for connection with an opposite side. When a calling-side terminal calls an opposite-side terminal, the server on the computer network retrieves the connection destination of the opposite-side terminal from the database. The opposite-side connection destination is called and the server on the computer network and the opposite-side terminal are connected to each other.
