PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vessel capable of immobilizing a live cell and suitable for the analysis by fluorescence correlation spectroscopy, etc., a method for immobilizing a cell in the vessel, a method for the measurement of intracellular molecular dynamics of the cell immobilized by the method, and an apparatus for the measurement of intracellular molecular dynamics. SOLUTION: The vessel has a cell-holding part having a circular flat bottom of≥2μm diameter, capable of holding a cell, and having a tapered side wall. The vessel has a flat bottom, and the cell-holding part forms the bottom of a specimen holding part to receive and hold a liquid containing cells. The apparatus for the measurement of intracellular molecular dynamics is provided with the vessel, a cell-transfer means to apply at least one kind of force selected from vibration, pressure, centrifugal force, electric field and magnetic field to the cells in the specimen holding part, and a means to detect the signal of a labeled cell. A cell in the specimen holding part is transferred and immobilized to the cell-holding part by the cell transfer means and the signal of the cell is detected by the signal detecting means.
