PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cold-cathode fluorescent lamp economical and excellent in spattering resistance and productivity. SOLUTION: This cold cathode fluorescent lamp 1, in the tightly sealed inside space 5 of which at least noble gas and mercury gas are filled, has a glass tube 2 on the inner wall surface of which a phosphor layer is formed, a pair of cylindrical electrodes 7 disposed in the inside space 5 and structured so that bottom surface parts 8 are formed at their one ends and opening parts 10 are formed at the other ends, and the opening parts 10 are formed face to face with each other, and lead wires 9 each one end of which is bonded to the bottom surface part 8 and the other end of which is extracted to the outside of the glass tube 2.
