PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic resonance imaging system or the like which can quickly and easily select and set imaging parameters or the like being optimal according to the imaging kind. SOLUTION: This methods concerns an information providing method to be used when an information operator uses, controls and provides setting information on a plurality of controllable conditions via a communication line, in carrying out at least one of the parameter settings such as examination kinds, imaging kinds, and process kinds from each magnetic resonance imaging system installed at a plurality of medical institutions. The setting information on the examination kinds, imaging kinds, and process kinds, is each categorized into a first condition where the operator's control is allowed and a second condition where the operator's control is not allowed. Such information is received via the communication line, and then stored in a storage medium. Upon the receipt of a request for acquiring prescribed setting information from either a prescribed medical institution, manufacturer or maintenance provider, the prescribed setting information is sent to the party via the communication line.
