The cajon is made from a wood housing (2). The cajon (1) has two neighboring side panels designed as impact surfaces (5, 6). The top side (4) of the housing (2) is designed as a seat face and a laterally arranged front with the two side panels designed as impact surfaces. The impact surfaces produce different base tones due to their material and or wall thickness.
